2023 Impact:

  • 1,362,000 people using an MSI-provided method of contraception
  • 237,000 unsafe abortions averted

One of our oldest country programs, MSI Kenya has provided high-quality sexual and reproductive healthcare since 1985.

We work in partnership with the government and other stakeholders to provide services across all 47 of Kenya’s counties—from centers in bustling cities like Nairobi to outreach visits to the most remote communities.

With generous support from US donors, we’re working to reduce deaths from unsafe abortion in the country. In addition to bringing contraception to the most marginalized communities, we’ve also pushed for policy changes to ensure more doctors are trained to provide lifesaving care after unsafe abortions.
