She joins MSI with more than a decade of experience in the nonprofit and foundation sectors and although she has worked on a variety of issue areas and alongside a wide range of grantors and grantees, her passion is working on issues related to women and girls.
She earned a BA from the University of Michigan and completed masters degrees at both the Fletcher School of International Affairs and Harvard University. Since then, she’s been a part of mission-driven organizations trying to positively impact the world. She joins MSI US after spending four years heading up and building out the development team for the Coral Reef Alliance and an exciting stint with Silicon Valley Community Foundation. Before that, she was with the United Nations Foundation and one of their signature campaigns, Girl Up, and spent a few years in the classroom as a 9th grade English teacher at Laurel School, and all-girls school in Shaker Heights, Ohio.
In her free time, Dory runs a small nonprofit that provides educational opportunities to kids in Tanzania. She loves outdoor adventures, hosting brunch parties and cheering for Michigan. And lives in Oakland, California, with her wife, daughter and dog.
