MSI welcomes Beth Schlachter as Senior Director of US External Relations

MSI is delighted to announce that Beth Schlachter has joined our organization in the United States as the Senior Director of US External Relations.

Beth will lead engagement with US-based partners as well as with the US government, deepening MSI’s connections to the pro-choice movement in the United States at a time when defending choice is more important than ever.

She will drive ambitious strategies to make global SRHR top of mind across key US funders and decision-makers, including advocating for the resources to drive MSI’s global 2030 objectives to end unsafe abortion and make contraception available to everyone who wants it.  

Widely known and respected, Beth has worked in the women’s health and rights sector for close to 20 years, joining us from IPPF, where she served as Interim Director of Global Advocacy. As Executive Director of FP2020-FP2030, her strategic leadership transformed the global partnership, doubling its size, scope, and funding and ultimately reaching women and girls in 48 countries with contraception. Prior to that, she worked for 15 years in the U.S. Department of State, where she led US government policy on sexual and reproductive health and rights.
